1st Six Weeks '100 Jar'

When the students make a 100 on an AR book their name is put into the '100 Jar'.  At the end of each six weeks I draw three names to join me for lunch at the local Chicken Express.Tess, Kamryn, and Cole enjoyed their lunch! This skeleton guy was inside the Chicken Express as part of their Halloween decor.  He looked a little scary at first, but the kids quickly warmed up to him and posed for a picture.
Great job and keep up the GREAT work!

1st Academic PepRally

The 1st Academic Pep Rally for 2009 continued with the October theme of 'Fire Prevention'.Cassie received the 'Panther Pride' award in my room.  She is such a model student and always makes the right choices.  Congratulations Cassie and keep up the GREAT work! The kids are always enjoy Mrs. Exum and Ms. Brook's skits-they should take it on the road!Just look at all the A & AB honor roll kids and perfect attendance.

1st Weeks AR Goal 'Getters'

Each six weeks I set an attainable goal with each student one-on-one.  During the six weeks I post a graph showing the students their progress toward completing 100% of their goal.Ohhhhhh yaaaaaa we REACHED our GOAL!!!

Soil

Back in the fall we learned about the different types of soil.  Each student brought a soil sample to school and we compared them to each other.

After playing with real dirt it was time to Eat Dirt!  The students couldn't imagine why we were going to eat dirt and some of them said they wouldn't.....But then they changed their minds!  Chocolate pudding-soil, crushed Oreos-rocks, gummy worms-animal life. They all wanted to eat MORE DIRT!

Panther Spirit

Silly emotions:MEANSiLlY fAcEsSCARREDDDDDDDSadI don't remember what this emotion was.  All of the kiddos had on maroon so we snapped some FuN pictures!  Mrs. Wright's Class really supported the Panthers every Friday.
