Our Classroom

Thanks to my wonderful family I had a lot of help preparing my classroom for 2010-2011!Lyndon offered to climb on top of the lockers to scrap old sticky stuff off of the walls so that I could paint.  I think it was the height that he liked.

My husband cut out laminated decorations for several hours!

Here is our classroom.  This is the center/kitchen side.  I still have several things I would like to do, but we are quite busy.

This is our academic side.

Thank you for visiting our classroom.  Come back soon!

Behind the Scene @ the Post Office

For two weeks we studied Community Helpers in our community.  With this unit of study came several wonderful field trips.  Our first trip was to visit our local US Post Office.

We mailed a letter and were able to go in the back and see the steps our mail would take inside the post office before it is put on a truck to be delivered to another town or a local mailbox.

Behind the scene.....

On the loading dock.

A Mail Truck!!!!

All of the students mailed a post card to themselves at their home address while we were at the post office.  When they received their postcard at home they colored the picture of a post office and brought it back to school to share with the class.

Sometimes it takes more than one picture to see EVERYone's face.  The last one is our SiLLy picture!

Having FuN Outside & Inside

Braden and Tyler are practicing writing their name in shaving cream.  Shaving cream is a lot more fun that paper, right?????

All of the students have a wonderful time on the school playground.

Nicky wanted another picture of him taken-such a cutie!

Abbi with her new hair cut.

Ian wanted his picture taken as well.

Each week we learn about a nursery rhyme.  Can you guess which rhyme these are from???
